The Gateway Pundit reported that the White House pushed back after midterm results it said handed Democrats control of both chambers of Congress, highlighting an official post and statements backing President Donald Trump.

Official account posts ‘TRUMP IS STILL YOUR PRESIDENT’

The outlet embedded a Nov. 4 post from the official White House account on X that showed a graphic reading, “PSA: TRUMP IS STILL YOUR PRESIDENT,” with the caption, “Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Reporter: unnamed official calls mood ‘defiant’

Hearst White House correspondent Christopher Salas wrote on X that a White House official described the mood as “defiant” after Democrats secured House and Senate majorities. Salas added that the official argued Trump wasn’t on the ballot, candidate quality mattered, and “the president did a better job promoting some candidates than they did,” concluding with, “Buckle up.”

Press release vows to resist Democratic moves

The Gateway Pundit also published language it attributed to a White House press release stating Democrats would try “to reverse everything President Trump has done,” asserting those efforts would “fail,” and saying Trump “will never stop fighting.” The text listed likely flashpoints including immigration policy, taxes, law enforcement, energy policy, transgender medical interventions for minors, DEI, content moderation, Supreme Court expansion, and impeachment. It added: “Attempts to impeach him, claw back his agenda, or reverse the gains of his Administration will meet the same fate as the Radical Left’s previous attempts: failure.”

Democrat signals oversight push, per outlet

The Gateway Pundit said incoming House Oversight Chairman Robert Garcia (D-CA) posted “LAWYER UP” on social media after Democrats flipped the House.
